Schedule your posts with Claude, start to finish

In 10 minutes: connect Claude to your PurrPlan account via MCP, ask it to prepare your week, approve the drafts in the calendar. Every step below, with the exact commands.

In short — to schedule posts with Claude: create a token on your PurrPlan workspace's “API & MCP” page, add the server (claude mcp add --transport http purrplan https://app.purrplan.ai/api/mcp --header “Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN“), then ask “Prepare 5 posts for my week, drafts only”. You approve in the calendar. 10 minutes flat.

What you need

  • ✓A PurrPlan account with at least one network connected (the free trial is enough).
  • ✓Claude Code (terminal) or Claude Desktop — or any MCP client like Cursor.
  • ✓10 minutes.

The 5 steps

1

Grab your URL and token

In PurrPlan, open your workspace’s “API & MCP” page. You’ll find the server URL (app.purrplan.ai/api/mcp), your workspace id and a button to create a token. Pick the read + write + ai scopes: read the calendar, create drafts, generate text.

2

Add the server in Claude Code

One command in your terminal — replace $TOKEN with your token:

claude mcp add --transport http purrplan https://app.purrplan.ai/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN"
3

Or in Claude Desktop / Cursor

Paste this block into your client’s MCP config (Settings → Developer → Edit config for Claude Desktop):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "purrplan": {
      "url": "https://app.purrplan.ai/api/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer $TOKEN" }
    }
  }
}
4

Ask for your week

Open a conversation and paste this prompt — adapt the topic, date and networks:

Prepare 5 posts about [your topic] for the week of [date], one per day Monday to Friday at 9am, time zone [your tz]. Use my accounts connected to PurrPlan (list them first to confirm). Adapt each idea to the network: detailed for LinkedIn, concise for X, conversational for Threads. Create drafts only, without scheduling or publishing, and show me the proposed slots.
5

Approve in the calendar

Claude confirms each created draft. Open your PurrPlan calendar: the posts wait for your review. Tweak a text, move a slot, then schedule. Nothing goes out without your approval.

Then you can ask it

“What’s scheduled this week?”

list_posts reads your calendar — Claude answers with contents, statuses and dates.

“Move Thursday’s post to 6pm”

update_draft_post moves the slot without touching the text.

“Attach this image to the LinkedIn post”

upload_media_from_url ingests media from a public URL.

“Answer the pending comments”

The inbox:read scopes bring your unified inbox into the conversation.

🔒 The guardrail that matters

Give Claude a token limited to the scopes it needs. The safe recipe: drafts only (the prompt above requires it), human approval in the calendar, and a token you can revoke in one click. A read-only agent (read scope) can never publish anything.

Frequent questions

Does it work with free Claude?+

Yes for Claude Code and Claude Desktop: MCP is available on all Claude plans. On the PurrPlan side, the 7-day free trial is enough to test everything.

What about ChatGPT or Gemini?+

Any client that speaks MCP works (Cursor, SDK agents…). For assistants without MCP support, PurrPlan’s REST API does the same job — see the developer docs.

Can Claude publish directly?+

Yes, if its token has the write scope and it passes a scheduled_at date. We recommend the draft → approval flow, especially at first.

How much does it cost?+

MCP is included from the Pro plan (€19/month) and in the Founders lifetime license. PurrPlan’s own AI text generation uses credits; if Claude writes the copy itself, no credits are used.
