Schedule your social posts from a ChatGPT conversation

The PurrPlan plugin gives ChatGPT access to your content calendar: it writes, adapts the text to each network, schedules at the time you pick, and hands you drafts to approve.

In short — PurrPlan is a ChatGPT plugin: once added, you ask “plan my week” in an ordinary conversation and the drafts land in your PurrPlan calendar, ready to review. You sign in once with your PurrPlan account, the plugin only acts on workspaces you can already reach, and it never connects a social account on your behalf.

Where the plugin stands

The plugin has been submitted to the ChatGPT directory and is awaiting OpenAI’s approval. In the meantime the same server already works in any MCP-capable client — Claude, Cursor, and ChatGPT when your build exposes an MCP configuration. The tutorial below shows how to wire it up in ten minutes.

What actually changes

No more round trips

Writing in ChatGPT then pasting into a scheduler is two windows and three copy-pastes per post. Here the post is created where you wrote it.

A brief becomes a dated calendar

You give a topic and a week; you get five posts adapted network by network, at the slots you set.

You stay in control

With no date, a post stays a draft — that is the default. Nothing goes out until you give an explicit date.

Install the plugin

1

Open the plugin directory in ChatGPT

Search for “PurrPlan” and add the plugin to your conversation.

2

Connect your PurrPlan account

A consent screen appears. It lists exactly what is requested: read and write your posts, generate text, import media, read your inbox and your figures.

3

Pick your workspace

If you have several, say which one. ChatGPT lists your connected social accounts to confirm.

4

Ask for what you need

The plugin ships with instructions: it always lists your workspace and accounts before writing anything.

An example request

Prepare 5 posts about [your topic] for the week of [date], one per day Monday to Friday at 9am, time zone [your tz]. First list my connected accounts to confirm, then adapt each idea to the network: detailed for LinkedIn, concise for X, visual for Instagram. Create drafts only and show me the proposed slots.

What you can ask it

“Which accounts are connected?”

It lists your workspaces and the networks linked to each.

“Write this post for LinkedIn and Instagram”

One text, two versions fitted to each network’s constraints.

“Schedule it Tuesday at 9am”

It reads the time zone back to you before setting the date — 9am where you are, not 9am UTC.

“Change the third sentence”

It edits the post in place, without recreating it or losing its history.

“Attach this image”

It imports media from a public URL and attaches it to the post.

“Build me a series of stories”

From a list of images, it creates the series in your calendar.

“Do I have unanswered comments?”

It reads the unified inbox and sorts it: read, archived, assigned.

“Which posts performed best this month?”

Reach, impressions, engagement, and the ranking for the period.

What it does not do (and why)

It does not connect your social accounts

Connecting an Instagram or LinkedIn account goes through that platform’s official integration, inside PurrPlan. A conversation plugin has no business carrying those authorisations.

It does not answer messages for you

It reads and sorts the inbox, but publishing a reply under your name cannot be undone: that permission is never granted to the assistant. It can draft the wording; you send it from PurrPlan.

It does not bend each network’s rules

Length, number of images, threads, video formats: PurrPlan refuses a post that breaks a rule, and says which one, rather than trimming it silently.

It does not publish the instant you ask

A scheduled post leaves at the time you set. And a post published ten minutes ago has no figures yet — that is not an error.

🔒 What the plugin sees of your account

The connection uses OAuth: you see the consent screen, you choose, and you can revoke access at any time from your workspace’s “API & MCP” page. The plugin only reaches workspaces your account can already access — it opens none. And permission to send a public reply is deliberately left out of the token.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a PurrPlan account first?+

Yes. The plugin acts on an existing workspace with at least one connected network. The 7-day trial is enough to test everything.

What does it cost?+

Agent access (plugin, MCP and API) is included from the Pro plan, €19/month, and in the Founders lifetime licence. The plugin itself sells nothing and takes no payment.

Which networks are covered?+

Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, YouTube, Bluesky, Threads, Pinterest, Telegram, plus Facebook Groups, Skool and personal Facebook profiles through the browser extension.

Does it work with Claude or Cursor?+

Yes — it is the same MCP server. Dedicated tutorials at /schedule-posts-with-claude/ and /schedule-posts-with-cursor/.

Can ChatGPT publish without my approval?+

It schedules when you give a date. With no date it creates a draft. And you can revoke its access in one click.

Is my writing used to train a model?+

The plugin passes along what is needed to carry out your request — nothing is resold or shared for other purposes. Details in the privacy policy.
