In short — To estimate a tweet's reach before posting, check the 6 levers X's algorithm rewards: a reply prompt, a strong hook, a length of ~70-240 characters, native media, no link in the text, and at most 2 hashtags. This free tool scores these levers out of 100 and suggests a rewrite — no signup.

The reach estimator analyzes your draft against the same levers X's algorithm rewards: a reply prompt, the hook, length, native media, no outbound link, hashtag discipline and readability. It returns a transparent 0-100 score and concrete fixes in seconds.

How it works

Three steps, no account to connect.

1. Paste your draft

The text of your post or the first tweet of your thread.

2. Set the context

Thread or single post, native image or video — it changes the score.

3. Read the score and fix

Score out of 100, weak levers in red, and an AI rewrite ready to copy.

What the tool measures

The reach levers on X, weighted by their real weight in the algorithm.

Reply prompt

A clear invitation to reply is the strongest pre-publish signal: X weights reply probability above everything.

Hook

The first line — what shows before "show more". A number or a sharp claim stops the scroll.

Length

The sweet spot is ~70-240 characters for a single post; too short reads lazy, too long buries the point.

Native media

An image or video uploaded to X (not a link) holds attention and lifts dwell time.

Link in text

An outbound link in the main text suppresses reach: better placed in a reply.

Hashtags

Zero to two hashtags max. Beyond that it reads as spam and dilutes reach.

Readability

A single-line wall of text kills reading. Short, airy lines keep the reader.

Frequently asked questions

Does the tool guarantee my tweet's reach?

No. No tool can guarantee reach: it also depends on your audience, timing and current events. The estimator measures the intrinsic quality of the draft on the levers X's algorithm rewards, so you fix what's fixable before posting.

What is the score based on?

On a transparent grid of 8 documented levers of X's algorithm (reply prompt, hook, length, native media, link, hashtags, question, readability), weighted by importance. The biggest weight goes to reply probability, which X values most.

Is my data stored?

No. The text is analyzed on the fly to produce the score and is not stored. No signup required.

Is the AI rewrite always available?

It's offered whenever our AI models are available. Under heavy load, the tool automatically falls back to the score and levers alone — which stay 100% functional.

Does it work for a thread?

Yes. Check "Thread": the ideal length band widens, since the first tweet is a hook, not the whole message.

What about Instagram, LinkedIn or TikTok?
